However, a few institutes take up an entrance examination for admission as well.

If you wish to seek M.Sc. Course in Nutrition, you must possess a graduate degree. Some of the preferable fields of graduation for doing diet and nutrition course include Microbiology, Chemistry, Medicine, Home Science or Hotel management. You can also get one-year PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, which requires a minimum degree in Science.

To pursue bachelor degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, you must have completed your 12th from Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your subjects. Further, B.Sc. (Food Science and Nutrition) is a regular three-year program.

Courses & Career Prospects
After completing the diet and nutrition course, there are number of positions for which you can apply for, including clinical dietitian, management dietician, community dietitian or consultant dietitian. Each of these positions provides distinct career options, like food nutrition services in fitness clubs, hospitals, clinical management in food service systems and nutrition counseling in public health agencies.
